New England Patriots boss Mike Vrabel revealed today that the team is committed to keeping Will Campbell at LT.
Will, the 4th overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, had multiple blocking miscues in the Patriots’ 29-13 defeat against the Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
With some organizations in the league projecting Campbell as a guard in the past season coming out of LSU, debate on his future position in Patriots started after the game against Seattle. Campbell refused to speak with the media after the final.
Mike admitted the scrutiny that Will faced in his rookie campaign, comparing it to playing QB and CB, and even being a manager.
“Campbell is only 22 years old, and he is our LT, and he will get better at that position,” the Pats head coach claimed in his campaign-ending news conference in New England. “He showed great things in some matches and things that he must work hard to overcome, but I believe in him, and I have no doubt that he will be stronger in the next season as our left tackle.”
Giants All-Pro LT Andrew Thomas on #Patriots LT Will Campbell:
“Give him time to adjust to the game and improve his technique… He is made of the right stuff. You can tell he loves the game. He was playing with a brutal injury. He will get better.”
