After a Game 2 defeat in which Green received his 5th technical foul of the postseason, the Warriors leader Draymond Green shared his frustration over what he called an “agenda” that shows him as an “angry Black man.”
Draymond was fouled by the Wolves’ Naz Reid while holding the ball at the beginning of the 2nd quarter of Minnesota’s 99-80 victory. After being fouled, Golden State star flailed his left arm at Reid’s head, and Reid fell to the floor. Naz received a personal foul, but Draymond was assessed a dead-ball technical foul after review. Green is 2 technical fouls short of being banned for 1 match.
After the match, Draymond shared his opinion about that with the media as he claimed there is “agenda” against him.
“They try to portray me as the angry Black man,” the Warriors star shared after the defeat. “But that’s not the case as a very successful, educated Black man with a fantastic family, and I’m one of the best players in the NBA.”
Green added that he is tired and angry with the agenda against him and claimed that it is ridiculous.
Draymond Green just wanted to give one quick postgame statement: “The agenda to continue to keep making me look like an angry black man is crazy. I’m sick of it. It’s ridiculous.” pic.twitter.com/ay7TLFhjWL
