The National Basketball League is using the new in-campaign tournament to spotlight Victor Wembanyama.
NBA shared the group-play schedule for its inaugural in-season competition today, and the 2023 NBA Draft 1st overall pick Victor Wembanyama and the organization that drafted him – San Antonio Spurs, is the only franchise that has more than 2 of its 4 group-play matches on national tv.
All of the teams play 4 matches – as all of the games will count for the regular campaign – vs. conference opponents. They were grouped together as all the details the league shared in July in Las Vegas.
All of the matches from the in-season tournament group stage will take place in November, as no matches will be played on Election Day.
The in-campaign competition will begin on November 3rd as NY Knicks will place against Milwaukee Bucks, and Dallas Mavericks will face Denver Nuggets as both matches can be watched live on ESPN.
