West Ham eliminate Freiburg after 5-0 at London Stadium

West Ham United trashed Freiburg 5-0 in London and advanced to the ¼ finals of the Europa League. The German side won the 1^st leg 1-0 in Germany but failed miserably in the 2^nd leg in England’s capital.

Lucas Paqueta gave the Hammers the lead after only 9^th minutes after Tomas Soucek’s assist. Jarrod Bowen doubled his side’s lead in the 32^nd minute, and the London team had a 2-0 lead after the 1^st half.

Aaron Cresswell netted at the beginning of the 2^nd half in the 52^nd minute after Jarrod Bowen’s assist as the Hammers continued to dominate at their stadium and Mohammed Kudus made 4-0 in the 77^th minute leaving no doubt which team will advance to the next phase of the tournament.

That wasn’t all as Mohammed Kudus scored his 2^nd goal in the match in the 85^th minute to make it 5-0.

The reigning Conference League champions will have the chance to win the more prestigious Europa League as they are among the last 8 teams in the competition.
