Matt Boldy, Marco Rossi and Joel Eriksson Ek all scored for Minnesota, which is on a roll since John Hynes stepped in as new head coach.
Goaltender Filip Gustavsson had a game to remember as he recorded his 5th career shutout with 24 saves.
“When you’ve lost seven in a row and had a bad start to the year, it’s going to be a long way back,” Gustavsson said. “Since it’s a two-point league, it’s always hard to catch up. But keep playing like this, and we’re going to have an opportunity to get back there.”
Joey Daccord, on the other hand, stopped 23 shots as the Kraken recorded its second-longest losing streak in franchise history, only one game away from their worst, set in December 2021-January 2022.
