Charles Leclerc made it abundantly clear that his future is tied with Ferrari as he aims to fulfill his dream of winning the championship with the Scuderia.
Leclerc contract expires at the end of 2024 and his future has been a topic of debate after a very sloppy 2023 campaign from Maranello.
However, the Monegasque shrugged any rumors by stating it is every driver’s dream to drive for Ferrari.
“I have always loved Ferrari and I would love to stay,” said Leclerc. “I’ve always made it very clear that my goal is to try to be a world champion, but firstly with Ferrari.”
“I know how difficult it is. We are not in the easiest situation. There is a big gap to fill to get to Red Bull’s level, but Ferrari has helped me before I got into F1, believed in me and put me into the Ferrari seat very early on, and it’s always a team that I’ve loved.”
Heading into their home race in Monza Ferrari sit 4th in the Constructors and desperately need a strong result to come back at Mercedes and Aston Martin.
