Multiple reports indicate that prized free-agent pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Los Angeles Dodgers have reached a 12-year, $325 million agreement.
Yamamoto is set to join forces with Japanese compatriot Shohei Ohtani, who recently signed a record-breaking $700 million, 10-year deal with the Dodgers.
While the Dodgers have not officially confirmed the agreement with Yamamoto as of Thursday night, outlets such as MLB.com and ESPN, citing anonymous sources, reported on the deal.
Several teams, including the New York Yankees and New York Mets, were actively pursuing Yamamoto.

This marks the third significant pitching acquisition for the NL West champion Dodgers this offseason. In addition to Ohtani, the team secured right-hander Tyler Glasnow with a $136.5 million, five-year contract following his trade from the Tampa Bay Rays to Los Angeles.
