The 2026 World Cup final is scheduled to take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 19. FIFA officially disclosed this information in a Miami television studio on Sunday, assigning the opening match of the 39-day tournament to Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11.
The semifinals are set to occur on July 14 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and the following day at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Quarterfinals are scheduled for July 9 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on July 10 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, and on July 11 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, and Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. The third-place game will take place at Hard Rock on July 18.

Leading up to the tournament, the U.S. team will undergo training in suburban Atlanta. They are set to play at SoFi on June 12, followed by a match at Seattle’s Lumen Field seven days later, and concluding the group stage at SoFi on June 25.
Of the 104 matches in the first World Cup spanning three nations, 78 will be held in the United States. AT&T, with initial hopes to host the final, will still present a tournament-high of nine matches. MetLife, SoFi, and Mercedes Benz will each host eight matches, while Hard Rock, Gillette Stadium, and NRG Stadium in Houston will host seven each. Lumen, Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, are slated to host six matches each.
