The head coach of the franchise Doc Rivers confirmed the news as the MVP finalist will be a game-time decision for the 1st game on Monday from the ½ final series in the Eastern Conference against Celtics.
Embiid still doesn’t train on the court, and the medical team doesn’t clear him yet to play.
“If I were a gambling man, I would probably say questionable for the 1st game, but we’ll discover,” the head coach said today at the Philly facility in New Jersey. “He must get better. He did not train today. Just couldn’t, and obviously, we were optimistic for today.”
