Twenty years after being drafted as Brett Favre’s successor in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers is now on the verge of surpassing the Packers legend in the NFL records.
Rodgers made a great debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers last weekend as he threw four touchdown passes to push his career total to 507. That puts him just one shy of Favre’s 508, the fourth-highest mark in league history.
On Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, Rodgers could tie Favre with one touchdown strike and move past him with two. It would be another milestone in a career that has already spanned two decades and delivered three MVP awards, a Super Bowl title.

The all-time touchdown list is still headlined by Tom Brady’s 649, with Drew Brees second at 571 and Peyton Manning third at 539. Rodgers, currently fourth, has a realistic shot of overtaking Manning before the end of the season.
Rodgers also enters the matchup with 63,196 career passing yards, just 244 away from Philip Rivers (63,440) for sixth place in NFL history.
Rodgers had to suffer two-year stint with the Jets, marked by injuries and inconsistency, but at 41 he is looking confident once again to break new records.
