Carlos Alcaraz beats Taylor Fritz (6-4, 6-2) and continues his fantastic performance in the USA.
One break was enough for the Spanish to win the 1st set against his American opponent 6-4. In the 2nd set, things were even easier for Alcaraz as he broke Fritz twice and won for 1 hour and 19 minutes.
Taylor had 2 chances to break Alcaraz – both in the 1st set, but the current number 1 saved them both. So after that, we saw only one dominant player on the court, leaving no chance for Taylor to do anything more.
This is Carlos’ house! 🏡🎸

Interestingly, this was the 1st match between them. Alcaraz will need to win 2 more games to win the Miami Open after he won the Indian Wells last week. On the other hand, Carlos has yet to lose a set in the tournament, as he didn’t lose a set when he lifted the trophy in California days ago.
The Spanish will play against world number 11 Jannik Sinner in the semifinal in Miami.
