The Reds goalkeeper Alisson has withdrawn from the national team due to an injury and will not play tomorrow in the EPL against the Seagulls.
The Brazilian didn’t travel with Liverpool to play against Brighton at the Amex Stadium, as Giorgi Mamardashvili will most certainly replace him.
The Reds didn’t reveal the exact nature of the goalkeeper’s injury, and manager Arne Slot didn’t reveal anything about Alisson in his pre-game press conference.
Hugo Souza will replace the Reds goalkeeper as he was called by Carlo Ancelotti for Selecao friendlies vs. France and Croatia in the USA on March 26th and April 1st.
Alisson didn’t play in his team’s UCL 1st tie against Galatasaray earlier this month, but was back on the goal as the Reds drew Spurs 1-1 in the EPL over the past weekend, and also for the 4-0 win against the Turkish giants at Anfield 2 days ago.
The 33-year-old previously didn’t appear in 8 Liverpool games during the autumn due to a hamstring problem. Mamardashvili replaced him in 12 matches so far in the current campaign.
