Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri believes that his team is not among the favorites for the Serie A title and the aim is to finish in the top 4.
The Turin team beat AC Milan 1:0 away in a match of the ninth round of the Italian Serie A and is now in third place in the provisional standings with 20 points, two behind the first Inter and one behind the second AC Milan.
However, Allegri insists his side is not yet part of the title race, saying Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan will battle it out for the trophy in the current 2023/2024 season.
Asked why he thought Juventus should not be ranked among the gold medal favorites despite their solid squad, the coach replied, as quoted by Football Italia: “The main reason is that Juventus finished third last season. Napoli are the champions, so they are favorites and Inter have a strong team.”.
