Tottenham have hired Roberto de Zerbi as their new boss after the Italian inked a 5-year deal with the team.
The ex-Seagulls manager has 7 matches to save the side from relegation.
If Roberto failed to save them and they got relegated to the Championship, he would remain at the helm, as he doesn’t have a relegation clause that would allow him to leave.
In 2 months’ time, Tottenham’s 3rd head coach of the campaign will have either secured his place as a hero in North London or be forever connected to 1 of the worst seasons in their history.
“I’m very happy to become the head coach of such a fantastic football team, such as Tottenham, which is 1 of the biggest in the world,” De Zerbi shared.
“All my talks with the chiefs of Spurs and their aims for the future have been clear – to build a side that can compete for all the trophies and to do that while we play attractive football that makes our fans happy. I’m here because I want to do that and have inked a long-term deal to give everything to achieve it.”
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as our new Men’s Head Coach on a long-term contract, subject to work permit.
