Tottenham secured just a 2nd victory in 37 EPL visits to Stamford Bridge as they shockingly defeat Chelsea 2-0.
The 1st half finished without serious chances for both teams and things continued like this until the 77th minute when a huge mistake by the Blues goalkeeper gave the away team the lead in the match. Mike Penders scored an own goal after a corner.
Things became even worse for Chelsea when only 3 minutes later they were left with 10 players on the pitch after Cole Palmer was sent off for receiving 2nd yellow card.
Tottenham took advantage and Mathys Tel with his goal in the 87th minute closed the door to Xabi Alonso’s side to try to tie the result in the final minutes of the game.
The Blues’ 6-match undefeated run at Stamford Bridge came to an end and things will not become easy for Chelsea next as they will face Liverpool and Man United, while Spurs secured 2nd win in a row in the league and climbed to 12th place as the North London team are undefeated in their last 3 games in the Premier League.
