Allegri says Juventus speak only about soccer, not referees

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri talked after the 1-0 win over Inter in Derby d’Italia on Sunday.

The Old Lady got important three points at San Siro stadium, but the clash was surrounded by controversy as a lot of people think the referees helped Juve when Rabiot stopped the ball with his hand in the box, but VAR didn’t check the situation for potential penalty. After the final whistle Inter were furious at the referee.

“At Juve we are gentlemen in that sense, we don’t cause many problems. We only talk about football like gentlemen, not referees. When VAR was introduced and a minute later Atalanta had a goal disallowed, I said that if VAR is objective then it is functional, but if it becomes subjective it is a problem. Ask me why I chose this or that player, why I made this change, without always trying to cause controversy,” said Max Allegri.
