The contract keeps the guard out of unrestricted free agency this offseason and rewards him for a career-best campaign with Phoenix. Grayson started 73 matches and averaged over 13 points, over 3 assists, and almost 4 boards and 33.5 minutes per match.
After playing for his 4th organization in 6 years, Allen (28) was keen to re-ink as part of a lineup of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal that allows him to play his best basketball. His 46.1% from the 3-point line led the league this campaign.
The guards’ inking comes with huge luxury tax implications for owner Mat Ishbia.
The 6th-seed Phoenix will face 3rd-seed Timberwolves in the 1st round of the Western Conference postseason.
