Alphonso Davies has stated that he will address his club future only after the end of Copa America. The 23-year-old, who will captain Canada at the tournament in the USA, is facing a pivotal decision regarding his career, as his contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire in a year.
Davies has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, while Bayern Munich is keen to avoid the risk of losing him as a free agent next summer.
Speaking about his current focus, Davies said, “I’m sorry, but I am focused on helping my national team go far in the Copa America. All my energy is here, and when this tournament is over, we will see what happens.”
According to multiple reports, Davies is ready to extend his contract with Bayern, but wants huge salary increase up to 25 million euros per year, which is considered impossible for the German club, who is willing to pay up to 12 million euros to the Canadian.

If agreement can’t be reached, Bayern will try to sell Davies for a price up to 50 million, taking into account the 12 months left in his deal. It is very possible that Real Madrid could wait a year and sign him as a free agent, similarly to the Kylian Mbappe deal.
