The Cleveland Browns’ wide receiver Amari Cooper has left Saturday practice session with groin injury, which may rule him out from the upcoming clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski did not give any details about the Cooper’s situation, who underwent surgery to repair a core muscle in the summer.
“We’ll see how he does over the next 48 hours,” Stefanski said.
Cooper had an impressive debut season with the Browns, notching 78 catches for 1,160 yards, along with nine touchdowns. The 29-year-old played on in the final weeks despite his core muscle injury.
His potential absence against the Steelers will be a major blow for Cleveland as Cooper provides the main source of attack.
