Ilya notched 2 goals and earned 14 points in 68 matches for Buffalo in the past campaign.
Lyubushkin (29) inked with the Arizona Coyotes as an undrafted player during the offseason in 2018. Coyotes traded him to the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 2022, along with Ryan Dzingel, in a deal for Nick Ritchie and a draft selection.
The defenceman will begin his 2nd campaign of a 2-year, 5.5 million dollar deal that paid him 2.75 million dollars annually that he inked with Sabres during the last summer.
The Russian hockey player has 5 goals and 39 points in 279 matches in his career in the National Hockey League split between Arizona, Toronto, and Buffalo.
