A brawl caused both players suspensions.

Chicago White Sox player Tim Anderson has been banned 6 matches, and Cleveland Guardians 3rd baseman Jose Ramirez will be out 3 for the fight on the bench between the 2 MLB organizations two days ago.

Tim received the tougher punishment after he was the main instigator of a bout that saw 2 players fighting like they were on the ring and exchanging blows by the 2nd-base bag.

Anderson was knocked to the field after being struck in the left side of his face by Jose.

Cleveland’s Emmanuel Clase, head coach Terry Francona, and 3rd-base manager Mike Sarbaugh were each given 1-match suspensions. Chicago’s boss Pedro Grifol also got a 1-match suspension. White Sox pitcher Michael Kopech and Cleveland outfielder Gabriel Arias will only have to pay fines for their participation in the brawl.
