Giannis Antetokounmpo reiterated his commitment to his team while also acknowledging his desire to win championships, as he has only won once in 2021.
“Right now, I’m committed to the Milwaukee Bucks,” the Greek superstar shared with the media. What I have been saying since the start of 2026 is that I never claimed that I want out of the organization.”
Rumors were that Giannis had been demanding a trade in the past several months and that Milwaukee had listened to offers for the Greek player.
However, nothing happened ahead of the trade deadline earlier this month despite huge interest from franchises like the Warriors, Heat, and the Timberwolves. Things, however, could change after the end of the season, and Antetokounmpo could be traded ahead of the next campaign.
Giannis shared last month that he would never reach out to the Bucks and say I want to be traded.
Milwaukee’s record is currently 23-30, and the team is in 12th place in the East. Giannis has not been on the court since January 23rd because of a strained right calf and will also miss the All-Star Game later today.
