Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has agreed to a three-year, $186 million maximum contract extension, league sources tell The Athletic.
According to multiple reports, the deal includes a player option on the 2027-28 season. The signing was finalized after the club representatives and Giannis’ agent, Alex Saratsis, met on Sunday. It had to be done before the official deadline at 11:59 PM EST on Monday if both sides wanted to sign an extension.

The player option in the deal will allow Giannis to earn more money over the course of his career. The Over-38 rule in the new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) the league and its player signed earlier this year will allow the superstar forward to sign a short-term deal with the Bucks in 2026 and than a four-year one two years later.

But you could argue he is worth $2B+ to the Bucks.
