After being down in the result after the 1st half with Golden State dominating on boards, Minnesota Timberwolves leader Anthony Edwards spoke up in the locker room, leading to 3rd quarter turnaround and 117-110 victory against the Golden State Warriors to go up 3-1 in their 2nd-round matchup.
“I told my teammates: ‘We only got 2 victories,” Anthony revealed after the win in Game 4. “I have never seen a matchup end 2-1. I motivated them that we must win 2 more matches, and at the moment we are competing like we already won the series. It was our job to make changes because if we kept playing like that, the Warriors would have won the game.”
Anthony had 30 points on 11-for-21 shooting and 5 assists, while Julius Randle led the Wolves in scoring with 31 points.
