Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s potential move from Napoli to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) this summer appears increasingly unlikely, as reported by the French publication L’Equipe. Despite previous speculations about the transfer, the new Napoli head coach, Antonio Conte, is keen on retaining the Georgian winger for the upcoming season.
While PSG remains interested in acquiring Kvaratskhelia, particularly as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, the French club faces significant challenges in convincing Napoli to part with their star player. Reports also indicate that Kvaratskhelia himself is open to the possibility of joining PSG.
During the last season, Kvaratskhelia demonstrated his value by participating in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring 11 goals and providing 9 assists. His current contract with Napoli runs until the summer of 2027, and his market value is estimated at 80 million euros according to Transfermarkt. Despite PSG’s ongoing efforts, Conte’s desire to keep Kvaratskhelia at Napoli suggests that a transfer may not materialize this summer.
