Charles Leclerc expressed his and Ferrari’s ambition to get their season back on track after the month-long April interval.
With the 4 weeks gap between Australia and Baku, many teams will have the opportunity to push for development upgrades.
That is where Leclerc believes the Italian team can pounce and reduce the gap to leaders Red Bull.
“I think in the situation we are in as a team, we take this as an opportunity to work as much as possible during this break, in order to get upgrades as quickly as possible and be as competitive as we want sooner in this season,” said Leclerc.
“It’s still a very, very long season. We are fully motivated to get back on top and we’ll try to use these weeks before Azerbaijan in the best way possible.”
Leclerc is enduring a difficult start to his season, bagging only 6 points thanks to a seventh-place finish in Saudi Arabia and suffering a DNF both in Bahrain through technical issues and Australia because of a first lap crash with Aston Martin of Lance Stroll.
