Because of riots on the stands, the clash began with 30 minutes delay.

Argentina won against Brazil 1-0 at Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro in a World Championship qualifier as the home nation played the final minutes of the match with 1 fewer player o the pitch after Joelinton’s red card in the 82nd minute.

The match was delayed with half an hour after Argentinian fans on the stand’s clashes with the police and Leo Messi and his teammates left the pitch. However, they returned 30 minutes later when everything calms down, and the match began.

In the 1st half we saw a lot of fouls as 3 Brazilian players received yellow cards and with 1 shot on goal from both teams, we saw no goals.

The winning goal was scored by Nicolas Otamendi in the 63rd minute after he headed the ball into the net as Giovani Lo Celso assisted from a corner.

Argentinian captain Lionel Messi spent 78 minutes on the pitch when he was replaced by Angel Di Maria.

The home team was left with 10-man after Joelinton received a red card in the 82nd minute.

Brazil is in 6th place with 7 points after 6 matches, while Argentina is leader with 15 points after 6 games.
