The title race in the EPL is over. After Arsenal had the advantage during the whole season before a huge drop in form recently, which led to Man City being right behind them, in the end, the Gunners won the Premier League after the Sky Blues somehow started dropping points after it felt like they could shock the North London club and steal the title in the end.
That’s the Gunners 1st domestic title in 22 years, and they won it even before they played their last match for the campaign.
Arsenal finished 2nd in the past 3 years, and that’s why all football fans around the world were uncertain if they could do it or would somehow end up 2nd again, but now Mikel Arteta can say that he won the Premier League with the Gunners.
Pep Guardiola’s side failed to beat Bournemouth as the Sky Blues escaped the defeat in extra time, but the point didn’t change anything for them as that meant that Arsenal are the new champions.
It will be very interesting what will happen next season as rumors are that Pep Guardiola will leave Man City and that mean that Arsenal will be again the favorite to win the title.
