The Gunners think that they will complete the deal soon.

Arsenal are in the final steps of agreeing a deal extension with Martin Odegaard.

The Norwegian contract expires in 2025, but conversations are advanced over a new deal, which would mean that the midfielder will commit his future to the side for at least a further 2 years.

The Norway international is set to receive a higher salary than his current $140,000-a-week to reflect his contribution to Arsenal since 1st joining the London team in January 2021.

Martin initially moved from Real Madrid on a half-a-season loan before the Gunner bought him during the summer transfer window in 2021 for 37 million dollars.

Despite his young age (24), Odegaard became the Gunners captain in the past campaign and has netted 26 goals in 110 matches in all tournaments for the team.

Earlier this week, Odegaard shared that he doesn’t want to talk about his deal situation apart from the fact that he is very happy with the Gunners and would love to remain an Arsenal player in the future.
