The Gunners have given up on signing the Ecuadorian after their £80m bid for Declan Rice was rejected
Arsenal have pulled out of the race for Moises Caicedo’s signature, reports say.
The Gunners have been hoping to add Caicedo to their squad for a very long time, but dropped out of the competition after their £80m bid for Declan Rice was rejected by West Ham.
It is believed that the decision is directly influenced by West Ham’s stubbornness as Mikel Arteta’s team has to watch out for budget limitations.
The other Brighton star James Mac Allister already headed for Anfield in a £35m deal and many expect Caicedo to follow suit.
Manchester United and Chelsea are the other big teams, with which Caicedo’s name has been linked and with the Gunners out of the picture, this may well be their best chance.
