Mikel Arteta received his 4th yellow card in his team’s 2-0 victory against Brighton today at Emirates.
The North London side head coach had made headlines consistently throughout the season for his interactions with officials and blaming them after the matches, as the most recent episode was after his club’s 1-0 loss against the Magpies when the Spaniard called them “a disgrace” and “embarrassing.”

Mikel received his 4th booking in the Premier League since the start of the campaign in August after being emotional after Kaoru Mitoma’s foul on Bukayo Saka. Arteta demanded a yellow card for the Japanese winger, and he received it, but the official also gave 1 to Arsenal’s boss for his reaction at the touchline.
His previous yellow card was for celebrating after Declan Rice’s winning goal in extra time against Luton at the beginning of December.
