The winger had a flying start to the game, setting up Gabriel Jesus’ opening goal of the night, but suffered a major setback in the 34th minute, when he had to leave with a muscular problem.
“We don’t know anything more,” commented Arteta.
“It was big enough not to allow him to continue to play the game and that’s a worry for us.”
Saka has withdrawn from the past 2 games in succession with injury concerns and is now a major concern for Arsenal big clash against Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Despite that, Arteta shared that he had no regret picking up Saka for the last night’s match as the 22-year-old is such a pivotal figure in the Gunners that he cannot be neglected so lightheartedly.
