A non-hitter has been thrown for just the second time in World Series history as Cristian Javier, Bryan Abreu, Rafael Montero and Ryan Pressly completed the job against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday night to win 5-0.

The series is now tied 2-2 and Game 5 is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. Thursday at Citizens Bank Park.
Don Larsen’s perfect game in the 1956 World Series was the only previous no-hitter in 118 years in World Series’ history.

Javier started Game 4 in the series for the Astros, tossing six innings of no-hit ball, striking out nine and walking two. He allowed no hits on 97 pitches.
“It’s funny. My parents told me today I was going to throw a no-hitter, and thanks to God, I was able to accomplish that.” Javier, who hails from the Dominican Republic, told reporters.
His father arrived in the US on Tuesday and saw him pitch for the first time.
Abreu and Montero each pitched a perfect inning before Pressly closed out the Phillies in the ninth.
“It’s always tough to take a guy out, but you have to weigh the no-hitter and history versus trying to win this game and get back to 2-2 in the World Series,” Houston manager Dusty Baker said.
