The Wolves are cut out from the top 4 after tonight's defeat.

Atalanta won against AS Roma 3-1 in a game from Serie A at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo and is now only 4 points behind them in the standings.

The 1st goal was scored by Atalanta at the end of the 1st half when in the 39th minute, Mario Pasalic scored from the box into the left corner after an assist from Duvan Zapata.

Rafael Toloi netted the 2nd goal for the team from Bergamo in the 74th minute after a rebound from the goalkeeper.

Lorenzo Pellegrini gave hope to the Wolves fans in the 83rd minute when the club’s captain from the Italian capital scored a beautiful goal just outside the box to the bottom right post.

However, less than 60 seconds later, Teun Koopmeiners scored to make it 3-1 for Atalanta after a nightmare mistake from Rui Patricio, who gifted the ball to the opposition player.

Even worse news for Roma is that Paulo Dybala, who entered as a sub, got injured and finished the game with pain because the team from the capital had made 5 substitutions.

Atalanta is in 7th place with 52 points after 31 matches, while AS Roma is in 5th place with 56 points after 31 matches. The Wolves have the same points as the 4th Milan but the worst head-to-head stats with them, and Jose Mourinho’s club is only with 2 points more than 6th Inter.
