The Atlanta Hawks will have to play without its forward De’Andre Hunter for at least 14 days as he sustains inflammation in his right knee, the franchise announced today.
De’Andre, who was sidelined in the past 2 matches, will have a nonsurgical surgery tomorrow. The organization shared that Hunter, who 2 days ago had an MRI that showed the inflammation, will be re-evaluated in approximately 14 days.
The forward is 4th on the franchise with almost 15 points per match. Hunter averages over 4 boards and almost 1.5 assists and is 1 of the best defensive players in Atlanta.
The injury news means that De’Andre will be sidelined for at least 6 more matches, and it is almost impossible for him to see him back on the court before the January 10th home clash vs. the 76ers.
