Trae left the match at the beginning of the 4th quarter after taking a charge from Cleveland’s Isaac Okoro and getting struck in the face by an inadvertent elbow. The guard remained on the court for a few minutes, left for the locker room, and did not appear anymore.
It is still too early to reveal when Trae will return to the court. Young must go through the NBA’s concussion protocol to ensure he is symptom-free before being allowed to play the game again.
Trae missed the Hawks’ match on Friday against the Miami Heat because of an illness.
The guard, who notched 15 points in the defeat against the Cavaliers, is averaging almost 27 points and is 2nd in the NBA with almost 11 assists per match.
