With 2 goals down in the 2nd period, Artturi Lehkonen and Valeri Nichushkin notched within a minute to equal the result. Toews then scored the only goal in the third period, and the current Stanley Cup champions tied the series.
Justin Schultz and Brandon Tanev notched in the 1st period for Seattle, but the team failed to score in the next 2 periods.
Alexandar Georgiev stopped 27 shots and made a crucial save on a 3-on-1 break at the end of the 2nd period.

Philipp Grubauer made 38 saves, but his former franchise won. The goaltender was part of the Avalanche for 3 years before joining Kraken in 2021-22.
