Avalanche top Kraken 3-2 to tie series

Devon Toews notched the winning goal in the 3^rd period, and the Colorado Avalanche comeback from 2 goals behind to win against Seattle Kraken 3-2 at Ball Arena in Denver, CO.

With 2 goals down in the 2^nd period, Artturi Lehkonen and Valeri Nichushkin notched within a minute to equal the result. Toews then scored the only goal in the third period, and the current Stanley Cup champions tied the series.

Justin Schultz and Brandon Tanev notched in the 1^st period for Seattle, but the team failed to score in the next 2 periods.

Alexandar Georgiev stopped 27 shots and made a crucial save on a 3-on-1 break at the end of the 2^nd period.

Philipp Grubauer made 38 saves, but his former franchise won. The goaltender was part of the Avalanche for 3 years before joining Kraken in 2021-22.

Game 3 will be on Saturday in Seattle.
