The fine that Avs’ forward will need to pay is the maximum allowable under the collective bargaining agreement.
The episode that resulted in the penalty happened in the 3rd period of yesterday’s match, in which the Ducks triumphed 4-3 after a shootout.
Ross had an assist on the ice in almost 13 minutes, while Leo had a goal and an assist in the win.
Colorado will play again today as they travel to California to face the LA Kings. After that, Avalanche will play again against Anaheim on Tuesday, as Colton will have his chance for revenge very soon.
