Barcelona shared that Argentinean superstar Leo Messi didn’t return to the club because he wanted to play in a championship with fewer demands.
Lionel Messi, whose deal with PSG expires at the end of the month, shared yesterday that he will join MLS and Inter Miami and not go back to the Catalan team because he doesn’t want to wait anymore to see if he will be able to be registered and play in La Liga.
The Spanish club put a statement that definitely took a swipe at Leo.
“President Laporta accepted and honored Leo’s choice to want to compete in a championship with fewer demands, far away from the spotlight and the pressure he has been subject to in the last seasons.”
?? Barcelona’s statement:
“Jorge Messi told Laporta about Leo’s decision to sign for Inter Miami despite having a proposal from Barça”.
“Both Laporta and Jorge Messi have also set out to work together to promote a great tribute to a player who will always be loved by Barça”. pic.twitter.com/Bk2ijmOpLd
