The Bavarian side has an advantage before the 2nd leg.

Bayern Munich defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in the Spanish capital and will have an advantage before the 2nd leg in Bavaria next week, as currently the German giants are the favorite to reach the ½ finals of the Champions League.

The match was very interesting since the beginning, as both teams had fantastic chances to score, but kept missing them.

However, Bayern Munich were the better team overall in the 1st half, and they scored in the 41st minute when Serge Gnabry found Luis Diaz, who didn’t make a mistake from close range and opened the score.

Things became even better for the Bavarian team as they needed only seconds to double their lead at the start of the 2nd half. Michael Olise provided the ball to Harry Kane at the edge of the box, and the English forward scored to make it 2-0 in the 46th minute.

Vinicius Junior had a golden chance to score in the 61st minute after a huge mistake from the German team, but the Brazilian failed to find the net.

Los Blancos finally scored in the 74th minute when Trent Alexander-Arnold provided an amazing assist to Kylian Mbappe, and the French made his team trail only a single goal.

In the last minutes of the clash, Bayern had a few great chances to score a 3rd goal, but Real survived, and the intrigue remains.
