Kingsley Coman scored another vital Champions League goal against his former club Paris Saint-Germain as German champions Bayern Munich took a 1-0 lead from the away leg of their last-16 tie.

Paris-born Coman netted the only goal when the Bavarians beat the French giants in the competition’s final three years ago, and he repeated the trick at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday.
Coman volleyed home inside the penalty area from Alphonso Davies’ left-wing cross in the 53rd minute.
The first-leg win was no more than Bayern deserved, and the Bundesliga leaders will hope they do not pay the price for winning by just the one goal against a PSG side who played without one of their stars Kylian Mbappe until the 57th minute.
Mbappe, returning from injury, was introduced soon after Coman’s goal and could not inspire a turnaround – seeing a late equalizer disallowed – but his involvement in the return match in Germany could yet be decisive.
Although Pavard was sent off for a second bookable offence in stoppage time, Bayern have control heading back to Bavaria.
PSG have lost five of their 11 games in all competitions this year, more than in the whole of 2022 (four in 46 matches).
