Julian joined FCB in April 2021 from Leipzig to replace Hansi Flick and end up the season with the 10th title in a row for Bayern.
It was a little surprising that Munich sacked him now because he eliminated PSG with Leo Messi and Kylian Mbappé in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League.
However, Munich is 2nd in the Bundesliga, which we didn’t see at this part of the season in the last years. Borussia Dortmund is the leader with only 1 point ahead of them, but this seemed like the reason for the board to part ways with him.

It is already confirmed that Thomas Tuchel will be the new head coach of the German champion. He signed a contract till June 2025, and his first game will be on April 1st. After that, it will be the Der Klassiker against his former team and the leader of the Bundesliga, Dortmund.

Tuchel’s last team he led was Chelsea, and he won with the London team the Champions League in 2021 against Manchester City in the final. So the Bavarian next opponent in the Champions League will be exactly Man. City with Pep Guardiola.
Chelsea sacked Thomas at the beginning of the season last year after the owner, Todd Boehly, decided to replace him with Graham Potter.
