In August, Man. United Greenwood mutually agreed that the player would leave the side after a half-a-year investigation into his situation with his girlfriend. The court found the player not guilty at the beginning of the year.
Mason joined Madrid’s team Getafe on a campaign-long loan from the Red Devils on September 1st, joining Jude in the Spanish capital after Bellingham joined Real Madrid earlier during the summer transfer window from Borussia Dortmund.
“Greenwood is a friend with Bellingham, and Jude recommended that he come and play here,” Bordalas shared in a press conference.
Mason, who netted 35 goals in 129 matches for the Premier League side from Old Trafford, has not played an official match since January 2022. Before inking with the Spanish club, he trained individually in preparation to reborn his career.
