Cincinnati Bengals LB Logan Wilson has demanded a trade.
The 6th-year footballer has started in all 7 of his matches in the current campaign. However, the franchise captain has seen his role reduced over the course of the campaign. Rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr. have received most of the defensive plays in the franchise.
In Week 6 vs. the Packers, Logan appeared in less than 20% of the Begnals’ defensive snaps in a 27-18 loss. Only 4 days later, he played almost 50% of the snaps vs. the Steelers in a 33-31 win that ended a 4-match losing streak. Wilson has 2 years remaining on his 4-year, 36 million dollar extension he inked in 2023.
In the current campaign, Cincinnati ranked 25th in yards allowed per rush attempt as the team is trusting its young footballers. Heading into the upcoming match vs. the Jets, the organization manager Zac Taylor reiterated his commitment to the rookies for the upcoming games.
Despite demanding a trade, Wilson is helping the rookies, as Carter revealed the veteran has done a great job of supporting him in his new role as a starter.
