Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow, who has been sidelined since Week 2 after having a procedure to repair a turf toe problem in his left foot, is practicing again from today in a limited capacity, his franchise revealed.
Joe has been on injured reserve since September 16th, and today marks a 3-week period during which the quarterback may begin limited practice with his teammates without counting vs. the 53-man active roster.
Burrow is eligible to be activated on the team during a 3-week period, but boss Zac Taylor shared today that his QB would not be on the field this weekend vs. the Steelers.
The Bengals head coach claimed that Joe’s status will continue to be evaluated weekly.
“This is just his 1st day back,” Zac shared.
Joe sustained his problem in the 1st half of Cincinnati’s win against the Jaguars in Week 2.
In the QB1’s absence, Jake Browning and Joe Flacco have started matches for the team (3-6), who had a bye week in the past week.
It’s been 57 days since he injured his toe.
