Josh Allen secured the Buffalo Bills 1st road postseason win in more than 3 decades as his team defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-27 in the AFC’s wild-card opener today.
With LB Devin Lloyd bearing down on him, Josh found Brandin Cooks for 36 yards just before the 2-minute warning and then capped the go-ahead drive with a 1-yard TD run in which the Jags let him score.
On the play before the touchdown, the Bills quarterback gained 10 yards on a sneak, refusing to go down while being pushed and pulled.
“I trust my teammates on the field,” Buffalo QB revealed. “Amazing victory, great team triumph. All we have to do is play our game and win. We are ready for our next test.”
The Bills will face the Broncos or the Patriots on the road next week, a chance to secure another victory away from home in the playoffs after a decades-long skid.
“We must win again on the road. We show that we can do it,” Allen claimed.
The Bills intercepted a deflected pass on the Jaguars’ final drive to seal the win.
