Billups’ arrest in Oregon was also part of an illegal poker operation tied to the Mafia. The Blazers’ head coach is expected to face the court later today.
Also, ex-Cavs basketballer and assistant coach Damon Jones was arrested today on charges that he provided inside information about NBA matches to co-defendants who used it for betting. Damon played for 10 organizations in the league for 11 years from 1998 to 2009 and was a Cleveland assistant from 2016 to 2018.
Betting sites in more than one state flagged suspicious betting interest on Terry’s stats ahead of a Charlotte Hornets-New Orleans Pelicans match on March 23rd, 2023. Rozier appeared for only 10 minutes in this match and left as he revealed that he sustained a foot problem, as the wagers on under his statistics were successful.
