Jordan Binnington stopped 40 shots, and the St. Louis Blues won against the Los Angeles Kings 3-1 at Enterprise Center in Saint Louis, MO, in a crucial match in the fight for the final wild-card spot in the West.

Adrian Kempe notched for Los Angeles and Cam Talbot stopped 27 shots as the Kings were defeated for a 3^rd time in 5 matches.

The victory moved the Blues within 6 points of idle Vegas for the final wild-card spot in the West. St. Louis has 16 matches remaining, while the defending Stanley Cup champ Vegas has 17.
