Chris Bassitt (7-4) gave up 2 runs and 4 hits with 5 strikeouts and no walks over 8 innings in triumphing in straight matches from the 1st minute on the field. Jordan Romano earned his 16th save in 19 chances for Toronto, who won 9 of their last 12.
