Bombito to replace Cornelius in CanMNT

Canadian national soccer men’s team added Colorado Rapids defender Moise Bombito in the place of the injured Derek Cornelius, as Bombito will have a chance to play in the upcoming CONCACAF Nations League finals.

That will be his debut with the national team as he is also playing his 1^st season with Colorado Rapids, as the defender was drafted 3^rd in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft.

Derek Cornelius was forced out during the Malmo match in Sweden.

“We’re really proud of Moise to not only earn his 1^st senior call-up but to happen ahead of two crucial games for the CanMNT,” Rapids president Pádraig Smith shared to the media.
